Phlegm heat, Lung heat, wind-heat or wind-cold presenting with cough with copious clear, white or yellow phlegm, hoarseness, sore throat, plum pit Qi sensation in the throat, wheezing, labored breathing. Also an important adjunctive formula for lung or throat abscess due to toxic-heat, presenting with fever, chest pain, cough with yellow fishy smelling, sticky sputum or pus. Tongue: white greasy coat Pulse: slippery

Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium to long-term for several weeks to several months.

Platycodon grandiflorum root, Activated carbon, Botanical wax, Talcum. - Jie geng, Activated carbon, Botanical wax, Talcum.
 
Contraindications:
Contraindicated for patients with true hemoptysis. Use with caution for chronic cough due to Yin deficiency. Use with caution in patients with nausea, as the rising nature of Jie geng/platycodon may cause Stomach Qi to rise.
