Indications:
Neck Formula targets pain due to a combination of excess bi-syndrome or Qi and Blood stagnation with underlying deficiency. Patients with this type of neck bi-pain usually present with Liver & Kidney deficiency or weak Zheng Qi combined with wind-cold-dampness in the meridians and collaterals of the neck area. These combined syndrome patterns lead to the contraction of the tendonomuscular meridians of the neck and local obstruction of Qi & Blood, which results in the patient’s subjective sensations of stiff, painful muscles and tendons, aching and numbness of the joints, and a decrease in the normal range of motion. This formula is very effective for neck pain due to a combination of excess and deficiency, with such symptoms as dizziness, headache, stiff and painful neck, shoulders and back, and pain and numbness in the arms.Tongue: pink, pale or dusky. Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 3-4 tablets, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating, unless the patient has a sensitive stomach, in which case it should be taken with food. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 5-6 tablets 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. One course of treatment is two weeks. Several treatment courses may be required. May be used safely as needed for acute episodes of neck pain over the course of several years. Monitor for signs of Spleen Qi not holding the Blood, including bruising or increased tendency to bleed.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Use with caution in hemorrhagic disorders or with patients on anti-coagulant therapy. Use with caution during heavy menstrual bleeding. Use with caution in patients with gastric or duodenal ulcers, diabetes, or hypertension due to nephrosis. Contains tree nuts.
