Indications:
Steaming bone syndrome due to Liver and Kidney Yin deficiency presenting with afternoon tidal fever or unremitting chronic low-grade fever, sensation of heat in the bones with the skin being a normal temperature on palpation, five palms heat, severe night sweats, dark red cheeks, red lips, thirst, dry throat, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, lethargy, emaciation. Tongue: red with a scanty coat, or no coat Pulse: thin, rapid

Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium to long-term for several weeks to several months. Once acute signs of Yin deficiency fire are resolved, this formula should be discontinued and long-term treatment be continued with a milder formula, such as Da Bu Yin Wan or Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan. Monitor for signs of Spleen Qi deficiency.

Ingredients:
Stellaria dichotoma root, Anemarrhena asphodeloides rhizome, Picrorhiza scrophulariaeflora rhizome, Lycium chinense root-bark, Artemisia annua herb, Gentiana macrophylla root, Trionyx sinensis shell-prep, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root. - Yin chai hu, Zhi mu, Hu huang lian, Di gu pi, Qing hao, Qin jiao, Zhi bie jia, Gan cao.
 
Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated for conditions due to excess heat. Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
