Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 4 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, dosage may be increased to 4-8-pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short-term for few days to a few weeks. This single herb remedy can be used together with other formulas to clear Stomach or Large Intestine heat or added when a strong toxic heat clearing effect is desired. Monitor for signs of Spleen Qi deficiency.

Ingredients:
Coptis chinensis rhizome. - Huang lian.
Contraindications:
Huang lian/coptis is a very cold medicinal and can injure the Spleen and Stomach when taken for too long or in excess amounts. Contraindicated for conditions due to excess cold or Qi deficiency. Use with caution in Yin deficiency.
