Indications:
Lung and Kidney Yin deficiency presenting with chronic dry cough that may be worse at night, cough with blood or blood streaked sputum, wheezing, recurrent sore throat which is worse in the afternoon, evening or when fatigued, throat pain without redness or inflammation, dry mouth and throat, thirst, dry skin, lips and mucous membranes, low grade fever, night sweats, malar flush, five palms heat, Lung consumption, wasting and thirsting disorder, spermatorrhea, palpitations, low back pain, dizziness, vertigo and tinnitus. Tongue: red, dry, cracked with a scanty coat or no coat Pulse: rapid, thready

Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years. For weakened digestion with a tendency to dampness or phlegm, it may be administered with Bao He San/Wan or Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi San/Wan.

Ingredients:
Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep, Cornus officinalis fruit, Dioscorea opposita rhizome, Paeonia suffruticosa root-bark, Alisma orientalis rhizome, Poria cocos fungus, Ophiopogon japonicus tuber, Schisandra chinensis fruit. - Shu di huang, Shan zhu yu, Shan yao, Mu dan pi, Ze xie, Fu ling, Mai men dong, Wu wei zi.
 
Contraindications:
Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
