Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula (jin kui shen qi wan)
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years.

Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep, Dioscorea opposita rhizome, Cornus officinalis fruit, Paeonia suffruticosa root-bark, Poria cocos fungus, Alisma orientalis rhizome, Cinnamomum cassia bark, Aconitum carmichaeli root-prep. - Shu di huang, Shan yao, Shan zhu yu, Mu dan pi, Fu ling, Ze xie, Rou gui, Fu zi.
Contraindications:
Because of the invigorating and warming aspects of this formula it is contraindicated during pregnancy. However, with the appropriate TCM diagnosis this formula is sometimes used to promote fertility. Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Contraindicated for conditions due to Yin deficiency.
