Indications:
Lung Qi and Yin deficiency presenting with chronic dry cough, no sputum or sparse, difficult to expel sputum, shortness of breath, wheezing, fatigue, listlessness, a desire to curl up, thirst, dry mouth and throat, excessive sweating, spontaneous sweating upon little or no exertion, night sweats, insomnia, palpitations with a stifling sensation in the chest, summer heat-stroke. Tongue: pale-red with a dry thin coat, may have many surface cracks Pulse: deficient, rapid, thin, irregular

Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. For patterns associated with sleep disorders, 8-16 pills may be administered before bed. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years.

Ingredients:
Codonopsis pilosula root, Ophiopogon japonicus tuber, Schisandra chinensis fruit. - Dang shen, Mai men dong, Wu wei zi.
 
Contraindications:
Use with extreme caution in cases with high fever or when external pathogenic factors have not been eliminated. If used in cases where pathogenic factors still remain it may prolong the illness.
