Indications:
Tai Yang Shang Han (externally contracted Wind Cold at the Tai Yang level) constricting the muscle layer in the upper back and neck. Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short-term for few days to a few weeks.

Ingredients:
Pueraria lobata root, Ephedra sinica herb, Zingiber officinale rhizome-fresh, Cinnamomum cassia twig, Paeonia lactiflora root, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root, Ziziphus jujuba fruit. - Ge gen, Ma huang, Sheng jiang, Gui zhi, Bai shao, Gan cao, Da zao.
 
Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated for conditions due to wind heat. Contraindicated for spontaneous sweating or night sweats. Contraindicated in wind-cold exterior deficiency patterns with sweating. Use with caution in hypertension as Ma huang/ephedra may raise blood pressure in some cases. May aggravate irritability or insomnia in some patients due to presence of Ma Huang/Ephedra.
