Indications:
Blood stagnation with heat in the Blood presenting with dry, itchy skin disorders with chronic, dull red, purple, or gray colored lesions, with seepage of blood or pus, flaking and/or scaling, hard or rough skin. Symptoms may be worse at night and are often initiated or exacerbated by stress or emotional upset. Pattern may be complicated by dampness, heat toxins or wind. Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. It is often administered along with a constitutional formula for several months. During the course of treatment it is advisable to have the patient avoid substances that promote heat, toxins and damp-heat such as spicy, greasy foods, shellfish, peanuts, coffee, alcohol and smoking.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy, or with hemorrhagic disorders. Use with caution during heavy menstrual bleeding. Use with caution in patients on anti-coagulant therapy.
