Indications:
Disharmony between the Gallbladder and the Stomach with phlegm heat that prevents the rising of the clear Yang and disturbs the Heart, presenting with dizziness, vertigo, headache, bitter taste in mouth, nausea, vomiting, indeterminate gnawing hunger, poor appetite, slight thirst, cough, profuse phlegm, chest and epigastric distention, insomnia, especially waking from sleep terrified, waking early in the morning, palpitations, nervousness, timidity or startling easily, mental agitation, irritability, depression, forgetfulness, poor memory, difficulty concentrating, possibly mental absence, tremors, convulsions, seizures accompanied by phlegm. Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years.

Ingredients:
Bambusa tuldoides shavings, Citrus aurantium fruit-immature, Pinellia ternata rhizome, Citrus reticulata peel, Poria cocos fungus, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root, Zingiber officinale rhizome-fresh, Ziziphus jujuba fruit. - Zhu ru, Zhi shi, Ban xia, Chen pi, Fu ling, Gan cao, Sheng jiang, Da zao.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated for Shen disturbance due to Yin or Blood deficiency. Use with caution in Yin deficiency. Use with caution during pregnancy as Zhi shi has some Qi dispersing and draining actions. However, this formula may be used in the earlier stages of pregnancy for morning sickness with the appropriate TCM pattern identification.
