Indications:
Intestinal wind with heat toxins or damp heat in the Large Intestine. Presenting with bright red rectal bleeding or blood in the stool, may be accompanied by a burning or itchy sensation around the anus, rectal pain and swelling, hot smelly stool, constipation or incomplete sensation following bowel movements, thirst. Tongue: red with a yellow, or greasy coat Pulse: rapid, slippery, wiry

Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short-term for few days to a few weeks. Once acute heat symptoms are resolved, this formula should be discontinued and replaced with an appropriate constitutional formula. Not recommended for long term use.

Ingredients:
Sophora japonica fruit, Sanguisorba officinalis root, Scutellaria baicalensis root, Citrus aurantium fruit-ripe, Ledebouriella divaricata root, Angelica sinensis root. - Huai jiao zi, Di yu, Huang qin, Zhi ke, Fang feng, Dang gui.
 
Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness. Use caution with chronic bleeding due to Qi deficiency or bloody stool with dark purplish blood.
