Indications:
Retention of pathogenic water due to Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency. Presenting with edema of the limbs and body, particularly pitting edema which is worse in the lower body, especially the ankles, difficult or scanty urination, abdominal pain which is aggravated by cold, deep aching and heaviness in the limbs, extreme fatigue and exhaustion, sleepiness, listlessness, cold intolerance, blue tinged lips and extremities, spontaneous sweating, no thirst, dizziness, heavy sensation in the head, cough with thin watery sputum, palpitations in the chest or epigastric region, vomiting, watery diarrhea with undigested food, watery thin or watery vaginal discharge. Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. If administered alone for acute symptoms, it is usually taken up to a couple weeks. It is often administered along with a constitutional formula for a few months to treat stubborn edema.

Poria cocos fungus, Paeonia lactiflora root, Zingiber officinale rhizome-fresh, Aconitum carmichaeli root-prep, Atractylodes macrocephala rhizome. - Fu ling, Bai shao, Sheng jiang, Fu zi, Bai zhu.
