Indications:

Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. May be administered with a small amount of hard alcohol to increase the formula's effectiveness at opening the channels and collaterals. The dosage should be very slowly increased from 2-8 pills three times daily to monitor the patient's response. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. If administered alone for acute symptoms, it is usually taken for no more than a couple weeks. This formula is very hot, pungent and dispersing, and can easily damage Yin. Watch for heat signs such as insomnia, restlessness, facial flushing, sweating and thirst.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy, or with hemorrhagic disorders. Contraindicated for conditions due to Yin deficiency. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Contraindicated for individuals with heat signs. Use with caution during heavy menstrual bleeding.
