Indications:
Kidney Yin and Jing-essence deficiency presenting with dizziness, fatigue, pain and weakness of the low back and knees, premature ejaculation, spermatorrhea, spontaneous sweating, night sweating, insomnia, palpitations, dry mouth and throat, loss of hearing, tinnitus, loss of hair and teeth, poor vision, poor memory, forgetfulness, thirst with a desire to drink. Tongue: red, tender, with a scanty coat, or no coat Pulse: thin, rapid, weak, deep

Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
 
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years. Monitor for signs of Spleen Qi deficiency. For weakened digestion with a tendency to dampness or phlegm, it may be administered with Bao He San/Wan or Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi San/Wan.

Ingredients:
Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep, Dioscorea opposita rhizome, Cornus officinalis fruit, Lycium barbarum fruit, Cuscuta chinensis seed, Achyranthes bidentata root. - Shu di huang, Shan yao, Shan zhu yu, Gou qi zi, Tu si zi, Huai niu xi.
 
Contraindications:
Because of the invigorating and downward action of Niu xi this formula is contraindicated during the later stages of pregnancy or in cases of threatened miscarriage. However, with the appropriate TCM diagnosis this formula is sometimes used to promote fertility. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
