Indications:
Wind, damp heat, and heat toxins lodged in the skin and blocking the channels and collaterals. May be accompanied by concurrent Qi and Blood deficiency. Presenting with acute or chronic skin rashes that are very itchy, itching when a rash may not yet be present, lesions that are pale red or dark red, and possibly painful, blistering or seeping rash with pus, dry and flaky skin. Also used for vaginal discharge with itching due to damp-heat. Tongue: varied. May be red with a yellow coat, or pale and/or swollen with a moist white coat Pulse: rapid, slippery, thin, floating

Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 4-5 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, adult dosage may be increased to 4-5 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. Once the acute symptoms are resolved, this formula should be discontinued, or combined with an appropriate constitutional formula. During the course of treatment it is advisable to have the patient avoid substances that promote heat, toxins and damp-heat such as spicy, greasy foods, shellfish, peanuts, coffee, alcohol and smoking.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated for conditions due to wind-cold. Contraindicated during pregnancy. Use with caution in hemorrhagic disorders or with patients on anti-coagulant therapy.
