Description:
Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 4 tablets, 1 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 2-4 tablets 2-3 times daily, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short-term for up to 7 consecutive days. Once the acute symptoms are resolved, this formula should be discontinued and replaced with a milder formula. Monitor for signs of cold, such as loose stools or diarrhea.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Use with caution in breast-feeding women as Da huang/rhubarb can pass through the breast milk causing colic and diarrhea in infants. May cause abdominal cramping and diarrhea. Contraindicated for Spleen deficient patients with loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
