Indications:
Liver and Kidney deficiency with chronic obstruction in the channels and collaterals. Presenting with swollen, inflamed, painful joints with chronic dull aching pain especially in the spinal vertebrae of the neck and low back. The joint pain is worse in the morning or when initiating movement, and accompanied by stiffness and numbness. May also be accompanied by cold sensation in the limbs, spasms and cramps in the hands and feet, weakness in the lower back and legs, unsteady gait, weak and soft sinews and bones, fatigue, pale complexion. Also used for this type of presentation with post wind-stroke vertigo, contractures, paralysis, numbness in the limbs, and for injury from physical trauma, particularly ligamentous injuries and simple fractures. Plum Flower Chinese Herbal Formula
Dosage:
Standard Dosage: 4 tablets, 2 x day.
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 4-6 tablets 2 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years. Monitor for signs of heat.

Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep, Spatholobus suberectus vine, Pyrola calliantha herb, Cynomorium songaricum herb, Drynaria fortunei rhizome, Epimedium brevicornum herb, Raphanus sativus seed-fried. - Shu di huang, Ji xue teng, Lu xian cao, Suo yang, Gu sui bu, Yin yang huo, Lai fu zi (chao).
Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Contraindicated for conditions due to excess. Use with caution in high blood pressure. Use with caution in Yin deficiency.
